Andrei Engelman

I was born in Kyrgyzstan. I do not have any special artistic education, but I began to paint from earliest childhood. Using my life experience I try to depict my understanding of the surrounding world. My art is my own investigation of the human spirit in a metaphysical realm. I am now aware that we are not only children of the earth; we are all citizens of the universe. What the world is like at this moment depends on each one of us. 

In childhood the world was bright and surprising. With age, something is lost, becomes routine. With my work I want to remind people that the world around us is amazing.

That is why: Welcome to a strange world; strange, but not scary; simple, but not stupid; painted with joy and love.
